Every year, Renton PTA Council awards scholarships to select graduating seniors. Graduating seniors from all Renton School District High Schools are eligible to apply.
2024-25 Scholarships Application Open Now!
The Renton PTA Council invites all graduating seniors from the Renton School District to apply for one of six $1,000 scholarships. We encourage all seniors intending to continue their education, in pursuit of their desired profession, in any capacity, to apply. This includes those intending to attend a college, university, vocational school, apprenticeship program, or skills certificate program.
Here are a few details to know:
- NO letters of reference are required.
- The online application requires the following:
- Completing a financial literacy course, some options include:
- Khan Academy Financial Literacy Course
- FTC (consumer.gov/content/managing-your-money)
- Weiss Financial Ratings (via kcls.org)
- EverFi (everfi.com)
- Schwabmoneywise.com/teaching-kids/high-school
- Any financial literacy study undertaken as part of your high school courses
- Completing and uploading a realistic budget for your time in school or upon successful completion of your training or schooling, including a plan for expected debt repayment
- Uploading an unofficial transcript
- For your personal statement (500 words or less), sharing what you learned from
completing the financial literacy course and creating a realistic budget.

Application Deadline: April 20, 2025
Every applicant will be e-mailed once decisions have been made. We know that every applicant deserves the scholarship; however, we have the difficult task of narrowing recipients down based on the number of scholarships we are able to award.
